Greenhouses, Gouache on Paper, 2024, 9" x 12"
This is the original gouache painting, "Greenhouses." I imagined a society that supports the ecosystem, even in the throes of climate collapse. I used to read the poetry of Theodore Roethke, who often wrote about greenhouses as places that protect and sacralize life. His work inspired the greenhouse imagery in this painting!
